Debra the zebra
her feelings are mixed
nothing seems stable
nothing seems fixed

Sometimes she’s happy
but sometimes she’s sad
one day she feels good
the next she feels bad

Some days she’s naughty
some days she good
she’d like to be steady
if only she could

Deb has a dark side
but her other side’s light
her character like her skin
is not black and not white
