Foul play


The elephants were playing the termites
in their annual football game
the elephants were winning as usual
every year it was the same

Then at last a termite won the ball
and sprinted down the field
but the elephant fullback stood his ground
determined not to yield

He charged in and stomped on the termite
squashing him into the grass
so the ref said 'stop killing the players
don't you have any class?'

The elephant said he was sorry
'I only went for the ball
I didn't mean to kill him
I wanted to trip him, that's all'
