In recent years there have been many great photos of lightning strikes taken from video sequences. Hungarian-born Andre Kertesz did not use video to capture Storms over Paris and the inclusion of one of the world’s most famous landmarks makes it exceptional.

Kertesz made his name in many different branches of photography, commercial, photojournalism and documentary. He spent most of his life in Paris and New York and worked as a freelance photographer for some well-known names including Harpers Bazaar and Vogue.
