The best things in life are secret.

You know you've reached middle age when you think that the speed limit is quite sensible and reasonable. The first time you think a speed limit is too fast it's time to give up driving.

Always be looking for something. When you look for something, even if you don't find what you're looking for, you find other things. If you don't look for anthing you don't find anything.

The weather outside is unimportant, it's the weather in your head that matters.

Invention is the discovery and manipulation of the laws of nature.

Love is like chicken pox, get it over with when you're young, it can be deadly if you get it later in life.

What's the meaning of life? It means whatever you want it to mean.

Love is caring more about someone else's welfare than your own.

In modern society life is very complicated. Sooner or later we all must decide whether the advantages of this complicated life, with the battle for money and prestige, outweigh the advantages of a more simple life that depends on love and companionship to satisfy the soul. Then we must go one way or the other.

Happiness, honesty and kindness are often incompatible. At times we can either strive for happiness or be kind to the other people in our lives, but not both. At these times being honest is considered unkind.

Hedonism does not make you happy.

The sole cause of unhappiness is over-expectation

The trouble with the English weather is that when ever there is broken cloud someone goes and fixes it so that we have unbroken cloud again.
