Sea story
I knew a man who went to sea
and suffered from the swell
he died at his berth so I told the vicar
and the vicar tolled the bell
Then the rain began to fall
the bell was ringing wet
and the ship sailed past the railway
where the sea and the river met
The track ran past the airport
I think it's running still
and a man slept in the river bed
he never caught a chill
He slept beneath a sheet of water
which came up to his chin
and over the sheet a blanket of fog
to help keep the cold water in
